Business Tips For Managing People

Once you have the right people in place the focus needs to be on Management. This is about maximising the performance and productivity of each person on your team.  That way you will have peace of mind when you are not there.

The first step is to be very clear on what you expect and then hold people accountable to that level of performance. Remember… you will get exactly what you tolerate.

Managing people and their expectations is also critical. When everything is going well managing seems so easy, it’s when things are not going so well that true management is revealed. Having a good handle on this can make or break you.

Finally, training is very important if you want your people doing things the way you have in mind. There is an old saying “what if I train them and they leave?”… “What if you don’t train them and they stay?”. In this day and age, people do not stay with you forever, so it is best they are trained your way while they are with you.
